To Be Tolerant or Not To Be Tolerant?

In the year of our Lord 1776, a Nation was constructed upon a foundation of Freedom. Freedom from Kings and Queens, Freedom of religion, and Freedom from unlawful taxation. In our Constitution our Fore Fathers stated that ” People” have certain unalienable rights. Rights that were given to us from our Creator, for all men and woman. This includes all Religions, Races and Creeds.

Our Nation was still is divided on this concept of Rights. Not even the Civil War was able to end the debate on Freedom of Religion, and Freedom for all Races and Creeds. Men and Women have sacrificed their lives to live Free. Joseph Smith for Religion, Martin Luther King Jr. for Race, and Woman activists for Gender. Still today we fight for Race, Religion, and Sexuality.

With all the Wars that have been fought, all the lives that have been taken, and all the hatred that permeates from leaders of our Religions, and Government. Tolerance seems to be an unachievable goal for a Nation built upon Freedom for all. Why is there so much hatred and guile for our fellow men and woman, brothers and sisters, and Americans? If we knew the answer I think we would have a solution. Government passes laws to combat this turmoil, Religion quote passages of scripture in all denominations. Still there seems to be no ability to create Peace.

Is Peace just another term for faith, things hoped for with the evidence of things unseen? I believe it all stems from the universal sin of Pride. There is no need to be prideful. Confidence Yes, but not pride. Tolerance is not acceptance!! We must be tolerant of peoples choices, but we do not have to accept them for ourselves. Obviously when it comes to things criminal there is zero acceptance. For Religious or Sexual preferance, we have the freedom to choose as long as the law allows us that choice.

As we come to end of another year let us all make number One on our list of New year Resolutions to be more tolerant of those you do not hold our same views in Religion, Politics and who to root for on any given Saturday or Sunday, and sometimes Monday. I know for myself I will be more tolerant of peoples choices and ideologies, that does not mean I have to incorperate them for myslef or my family. Let us all Stand a little taller and be filled with more love and kindness.

HeathCare Revisited

Early in my Blogging adventures I Posted about Heath Care. I also wrote a paper for a Political Science class on Heath Care. Universal Heath care Does not and will not work. Obama wants us all to just get behind him on heath care reform, just because he took over the country during the worst economic time since 1929. Obama blames the previous administration for all of the countries problems. This blame game does two things for Obama.

First it allows him some room to borrow 1/3rd of the worth of our economy from China. Second to use a scare tactic so that the American people will not question Obama’s policies. USA Today had an article this week about Universal Health Care and Massachusetts. For those who do not know, Massachusetts was the first to launch this policy. It covers the Pro’s and Con’s of only have 2.67% of the state uninsured. The Con’s include, Emergency rooms full to capacity and they have to turn patients away. Doctors not making as much. This is one issue that I see becoming the worst thing. We all know how understaffed the medical field is and to provide this huge influx could be detrimental.

I am not saying that the medical field is perfect. I work in this field and it is no where near. Capitalism has been and is always the answer. Free markets are why despite our turmoil now our economy will rebound through innovation and productivity. Obama needs to consider all possibilities and not rush reformation, by using socialistic principle that time and time again show they don’t work.

What is My Motivation?

What Motivates us as a People? If we take a look at our lives, what is our motivation for doing our mundane and tedious activities? Fame or Fortune? I believe all motivation stems from these two factors. Every day I wake up and go to school or work or both, and the most frequently asked question by my three year old is, Why? Now of course the common answer would be ” to make money”, or for school it is “to one day have the chance to make more money”. In the work place we are surrounded by, hard workers, workers, and not so hard workers. Every place of business has them the overachievers, those who do what is asked, and those who do just enough to keep their jobs. So back to my question, What is our Motivation? Most would say Money, others would say Fame. Now Fame can be “Britney Spears”,or just bieng popular at work. I feel it all revolves around Marketability! If we apply for a job what is the first thing we do? Write a resume! Our resume reflect our accomplishments. We tell about our Education, our Work history, our Skills, and we give names of people who if approached would be likely to lie for us and say how great we are. Resumes are the most common marketing tool that we use. Why do I go to College? The parties, panty raids, Girls. None of the above, for me anyway. I go so that I can put on my resume under Education: Bachlor’s in Business. This piece of paper is supposed to multiply my income by Two. A degree provides me with marketability. Why do I work 10 times harder than the next guy and 20 times harder than those who feel everthing is owed to them? I do it so that I have marketability. What is so great about marketability? It is the life force of the business world. If I am not going to make a company better just because I am hired then why would any company want to pay me? We sell ourselves every day! If we work hard and show that we are accountable for our actions and take ownership of our jobs, then we will have a better chance for a raise or a promotion or just positive reinfrocement from a superior, or from Stewart Smally,” I”M Good enough, I’m Smart enough, and gosh darnit people like me”. Over the past 40 years the world has become fixated on what can I get for the least amount of effort or money? What is free? Nothing is free. Everything that we are able to receive has a price. Price could be money, effort, or knowledge. For instance “Buy one get one Free”, you had to spend money the buy one, then after you buy one you get a second free. That is basically half off, NOT FREE. In the work force we get what we market ourselves for. If we have ambitition to want more than we have, then we must increase our Marketability! President Kennedy said it best” Ask not what my country can do for me, but what I can do for my country!!”

Would You Like To Have Your Pornograph Taken?

Salt Lake City National Airport has been selected along with about ten other Airports in the nation to use a new security tool. A Body Scanner. This machine will take a digital image of your person and display it on a screen for a TSA worker to view. The agent is in a separate room. This digital picture is like an X-ray, it penetrates through your clothes but not your skin. Now the first question that should come to mind is, How many pixels does the scanner’s lens have? If not well don’t feel bad. This is not like your digital camera that takes a Color and Crystal Clear picture of a naked body. The image that is viewable is like a X-ray photo. That same Black, blue photo. So you are not able to see in playboy detail a naked body. Also you would not be able to identify a person by the image. This scanner is able to see any objects that may be stashed in your clothes or in parts of the body that was made for an EXIT ONLY. I think this is a great tool, Metal Detectors would become obsolete. The scanner would bring to view everything that is under your clothes. No more undressing for the security guards they will just be able to take an X-ray. This will save on time to get on your flight. Not to mention the safety one would feel knowing nothing is passing through security that would put your life in danger. As with any new technology there is opposition. The biggest concerns are, one, taking a naked digital picture. Two, are these pictures saved into a database? Three, will these pictures be sent out on the Internet? As previously stated the image is not like a photo for your album. TSA has stated these pictures are not saved. No upload capability to the Internet. Also the image is not identifiable. This scanner is the first tool that has been put into place that will provide the “Friendly Skies” atmosphere since 9-11.

MONOPOLY (The Game of Choice for Our Economy)

As a child I loved to play Monopoly. My Favorite role was to be the Banker. I love being in charge, and it was the easiest way to CHEAT. Yes I am going to come out and say that I used to Cheat at Monopoly. Aaron and Angela will never play that game with me again. So for who knows how long AIG and other banks have played monopoly during work and with real money. Now our Government is buying Wall St., AKA Boardwalk and Park Place. AIG pays retention bonus’ to 73 employees and this amounts to about 163 Million Dollars. Less than 1% of the Bailout money they have received. I think that congress is jealous of AIG big wigs getting bonus and that is why Congress is mad. Let it be known that the Bailout money was given with no limitations on how the money could be used. I don’t think it is worth all the attention this story has received. Personally a company who is going through the financial struggle they should be cutting back on bonus’. Intermountain cut our Christmas Bonus and our 401k match last year. It hurt my pocket book but it was better than layoffs. Congress feels cheated and so now they have to find a way to get the 163 Million back. Well how does Government make money. Taxes, so no Congress wants to tax these 73 people up to 95% of their bonus money. Well now that Congress is able to Tax who they and how much they want, what will keep them from doing it to us. I am so happy that the Democrats have control of the House and Senate. If Nancy Polosi would sell her private jet maybe our tax dollars for her salary would be better spent. The BIG THREE get hounded by Congress for traveling by private jet but it is OK for the Speaker of the House to do so. Our Government is throwing money around like it is monopoly money and our Economy is getting worse even with Trillions of dollars in Bailouts and Stimulus money. Not only that but our New Administration in the White House is lying to us. They just found out about the bonus, wait no we new about them all along, as Tim Gietner has stated. Just because of a Man Religious beliefs People would not vote for the only Candidate that has the knowledge to restructure and restore our Economy, Mitt Romney. He should be President, or have Tim Gietner’s Job. But NO. CHANGE we can Believe in is running the Show.

Why Be a Hater?

Why do we hate? Hate has consumed our nation, our lives and our way of thinking. Hate is found in everyone. We know who is the author of hate and yet we spend hours, days, months, and years justifying our hatred. We justify hating Gay’s, Arabs, Mexicans and most of all Canadians. Why? Because they are different, Homosexuality is against Christian beliefs, Arabs caused 9 11. Well not the whole Arab race, But don’t we repeat history? We look at every Arab differently since 9 11. That is what they did in World War II with Japanese Concentration Camps. Japanese Americans sent to Camps just because they were of Japanese decent. We hate Mexicans for coming into this country illegally. Canadians say the word “about” weird. I know I have said things on this blog that are a product of Hate. For that I am sorry. I Know that Homosexuality is Wrong. I also believe in the laws of this Nation. I also have deep feelings of disgust about the 9 11 attacks. How many of us go to church every week and learn about being Christlike? Christ loves the Sinner not the sin. Christ is able to look past our outward appearances and actions. He forgives us of are wrongful acts. He Died so that our sins, sins of hate could be washed from us. Heavenly Father gave to us Agency, some use it for good and some for evil. This will always be apart of our lives. There must be opposition in all things. The cure for this world is LOVE. The Lord died for us because of Love. We live here on Earth because of Love. We Progress in this life because of Love. We are Blessed in this life because of Love. We are Saved By Love. The world is full of Hate. Let us spread the Good News, No Greater Love hath man then this, That a man layeth down his life for his Friend. I know that God Loves us! I know that Satan is the author of all Hate. I know that it is through the labor of Love that man may receive Exaltation. Christ is the example, let us find his will for us and carry out his mission. To Bring to Pass the Eternal Life of Men. This can only be done with LOVE. Remember that Charity is the Pure Love of Christ. If we Love God, we must keep his commandments. One of the lose is to Love thy neighbor as thyself!!

Importing Kryptonite

In a Galaxy far far away, ( Italy). There is the potential that we here on Earth, ( Utah), will be receiving some Kryptonite that will defeat Superman,( Me). The Idea that has been placed before the evil Lex Luthor ( Utah Legislators ), of being paid 100 Million Dollars a year to store this Galaxy’s Kryptonite ( Nuclear Waste). Now in trying to overcome the demise of the Economy, this could be seen as some wanted and needed revenue to the State. I admit that to me 100 Million Dollars is a considerable amount of money. In relation to the State budget it is Pennies. Energy Solutions ( Emperor Zod ), has approached Mr. Luthor with this business proposition. The Kryptonite that could be brought in is classified as Grade A waste. This is not the top of the line as we associate with Grade A. It is of the lower grade of radiation. Storing this waste in Clive, Utah would most likley not harm Superman to the point of utter destruction and cause a Doomsday. The principle is that once we start selling our land for waste what else will Mr. Luthor do for money? Our Legislator is very corrupt, and Energy Solutions spends money to keep it that way. In Tooele we do have an army depot that stores and destroys biological weapons for the nation. It is possible that is more dangerous than the Kryptonite will be. How long will we allow Mr. Luthor to fill his pockets will money and have total disregard for the voice of Utahans. This Past election we had the opportunity to “Change” our leadership. We could have voted out Chris Buttars and other seat fillers whose ignorance and stupidity is more than anyone should have to bare. Utahans could not bare to vote Blue, or just against an incumbent. So will Superman be able to overcome the diabolical scheme that is taking place before it’s too late? Or will we just sit idly by as Mr. Luthor takes over the world. Utah does not need any more waste deposited here. It is bad enough. Per ca pita we have the most M.S. , Cancer and other diseases that have been caused by the Nuclear Testing of our Federal Government. Remember the old Bumper stickers ” Don’t Waste Utah” lets not allow any waste to be imported from Foreign countries and stored in our back yard. Magna is a great example of what could happen to the rest of the State if Energy Solutions has control of our Legislation.

To Campaign or Not To Campaign

This is the question!! Well 41 days till the nation will provide their voices in the form of casting a Ballot. The economy in shambles. What is a Presidential Nominee to do? Well John McCain has decided to suspend his campaign to go back to work. Obama wants to stay on the campaign trail. Well now it is up to us to decide who made the better decision. I mean what is there to decide? Huh, do I do the job that I am being payed for by tax payers or do I campaign so I can collect more money from those same tax payers? What a tough choice. Stocks fall every day, gas and food continue to rise and these two have to decide how to take more of our money. What a Joke!!! I know one must campaign to insure a win on that very day in November, but why is it so hard to do your job. Oh wait what a dumb question Washington is broken and Mr. Magoo and The Anointed One will save us from this horrible administration. They are going to do this on our dime. Whether that dime is taken in the form of salary, donation, or a raise in taxes to bail out criminals. Well it is not for me to say which of these two saints has done the correct political move, that is for you to have your own opinion. But I will say this, if the government thinks that the American people will be willing to bail out those idiots in Washington with our own hard earned money that is so difficult to come by, boy they have another thing coming!!!!

Not CHANGE but a RESTORATION

In following the Election coverage and listening to Osama Obama and Old Man Mcain, both claim to be the candidates for change. Washington is broken we hear, our economy is the mouth of the porcelain god and every day I wander how I am going to continue on in the pursuit of happiness. What does Change mean? Neither candidate will give a simple answer to this question. Well I am not to sure that we need a change. We need a Restoration. We need a candidate that will restore the value of hearkening to the voice of the nation, which are the voters of this nation. Restoration of the principles and values this Blessed nation was founded on. Ronald Reagan is conservatism, and is the hero of the Republican Party. We Need to restore his mind set and his principles in order to overcome the liberal and radical Washington. Let us all remember that Liberalism is a Mental Disorder, as stated by the great American Micheal Savage. Change is not always for the better. This has been made apparent as the nation digresses. In a world of Flip Floppers and a celebrities we are told except the world and be of the world. Let us stand up for truth, liberty, justice, and moral values. The Status Quo of Washington is no longer acceptable we must make our voices herd. That is why to all who will read this blog I am Running for President of the United States of America. Yes on election day I will Vote for the most intelligent choice. That of course is myself. My goal is to have the 87% of Republican voters that voted for Mitt Romney to join me in Restoring the core values of the Constitution to Government.
